Um Ibrahim (Maha) Amman team leader
The Collateral Repair Project is only able to bring assistance to Iraqis in Jordan through the efforts of the Amman team.
The team members are refugees themselves. They are immersed in the refugee community and, as such, have
first-hand understanding of the particular needs of their community.
The Amman team recommends projects to us after meeting with families and assessing their needs. They send us
photos and stories of the families that need your help and maintain supportive contact with these families even after
assistance has been given. They work long days that are filled with empathetic sorrow as they listen to the
heartbreaking stories of these families.
We salute them in their courage and appreciate their tireless efforts to bring relief to some of the hundreds of
thousands of Iraqis exiled in Jordan

and commonly men become known as "Abu" (or "father of") their first-born child
